Frequently asked Questions - Concrete Patios

How do I estimate the cost of a patio?
Prices for concrete are always changing so the best thing to do to get the most up-to-date cost is to work out the area you are covering by measuring the width of your patio and the length in meters and then calculate the squared meterage with the calculation “width x length”.

You can then either fill in our form on the contact page or give us a call and we will give you a FREE no obligation quote for you to consider and come back to us if you want to go ahead – our team are friendly and will do all they can to help but don’t worry they won’t keep calling you if you are not interested, they are always far too busy!

As each patio project is unique, the duration may vary. However, for an average patio project comprising an area of 50 m², it generally takes no more than four working days provided accessibility to the area is good.

Whilst constructing a sub-base and laying paving slabs can take some time, the techniques used are relatively simple and it’s possible to complete a small project in a weekend, but if you are looking for a solution that gives you the look you want and that is low maintenance a decorative concrete patio is what you are looking for, our friendly team will got through everything with you from digging out to finishes and then work out a cost for you as a free quote. All you need to do is tell us what style, colour and finish you are looking for and we will fit your bespoke decorative concrete patio for you – no hassle.

The evidence is clear that you can add as much as 20% to the value of your home by adding hard landscaping, getting more people in for viewings and hopefully, more offers that are closer to the price you want. If all else fails, at least you have a decorative concrete patio that will stand the test of time, and one you can enjoy that for many years to come.

Provided it’s installed correctly sealed and maintained decorative concrete will last just as long as non-stamped, or standard, concrete so you can expect it to last from 25 to 50 years!

Usually, we recommend waiting between 7 and 10 days before walking on your new concrete patio. This is to ensure that the concrete has fully cured/dried and so this will also depend on weather conditions.

As with most surfaces, decorative concrete can be damaged by high-pressure washing. Applying sealant every 3-4 years will help to protect the surface and keep it looking great for many years to come.
